Freebie day on my Special Day

Have you heard about Birthday Promo? If you want to celebrate your birthday and don't want to shell big amount of money, I suggest you seize the Birthday promos offered by some establishments. You just have to look for it or search for it over the internet. Just like I did.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday, and I decided to take advantage of some of these Birthday Promo. My husband have work yesterday so I asked my older sister to come with me to celebrate my birthday.

Our first stop, Vikings at SM The Block (North Edsa). Since we don't have a reservation, I asked my sister to pre-register while she's waiting for me. It took an hour before they let her in because of the long queue.

Aside from eating for free, the staff serenaded me, and gave me a birthday cake. I enjoyed the food though I wasn't able to eat as much as I have imagined because I was full after my third trip. Blame it to my small stomach capacity.

After eating, resting, eating again and picture taking, my "ate" and I traveled to Cubao to visit Art in Island. Art in Island is an interactive 3D art museum in Cubao. It's relatively new (it opened Dec 25, 2014). I first saw this kind of museum while watching Heartstrings (a K-Drama starring Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye). And I remember wishing to visit it once I got the chance to travel in Korea. Well. we have that now in the country. Hurray for that! But I still want to go to Korea. :)

Art in Island Birthday Promo and other promos (as seen on their FAQ's note). "copy paste"

It took more than 2 hours before we complted the tour. I'm planning on writing separate blog post for this. :)

We rested for a while, then decided to went our separate ways. My ate's going to Valenzuela, and I to Cavite. I then went to Starbucks in SM Bacoor since it's still early and I badly needed to ingest some caffeine to boosts my declining energy. Being a Starbucks card holder, I am entitled to one complimentary slice of cake as a birthday treat. I chose "Classic Chocolate Cake" to go with my Dark Mocha Fraffucino. The cake costs Php 110 / slice.

I really had a blast yesterday. Aside from enjoying this perks and privileges, I got to spend the whole day with my sister which we haven't done for a long long time. We talked and bonded just like we used to do before.

And by the way who doesn't love freebies? Definitely not me! I highly recommended you Birthday celebrant to try these birthday promos. There's a lot of restaurants / buffet aside from Vikings that offer this kind of thing. You just have to search for it.

Until here.
See you soon folks!

A super late post once again.

The Last BDJ Rendezvous: A Woman Who Matters happened last August 8 at SM Mega Mall Atrium Lobby. I was at SM Megamall around 9:30 am (the mall opens at 10), because I want to be one of the early birds to receive a gift pack, but sad to say, I was the 5th person to arrive (sad face). We waited for 3 hours for registration to open.

The event was hosted by Apple David (PBA court side Reporter). The event featured three beautiful and accomplished women who shared their tips and experiences in their respective careers.

GUIDE TO YOUR FITNESS TRANSFORMATION by Melissa Gohing

She's a blogger (Perspire to Inspire) and a volleyball player / athlete. She talked about the importance of exercise and what exercise we should try. Honestly, exercising is the one I'm not keen to do. I tried running / walking early in the morning before, but I only lasted for 1 week. I'm so lazy to do it.

She recommended some exercise to try.

CROSSFIT - strenth and resistance training
PILATES - carve the core
SPIN CLASS - Ride and burn calories
KICK BOXING - Ride and Burn Calories.

Ms. Melissa Gohing

Aside from these talks, there's also the raffle, the games, the food and the loot bag.

I wasn't able to take pictures with the speakers and the host because I have a headache the whole time and I struggled to keep up.

Anyway, here are some of the photos that I took.

Unboxing July BDJ Box (Prepped and Polished)

My July BDJ Box has arrived July 27 and yet I'm posting it just now! Blame it to our slow internet connection + malfunctioning desktop computer. :'(

This month's box is my last box subscription. BDJ Elite Box which they are offering starting August is beyond my reach. Too expensive for a non-working wife like me. I can only wish for someone who has generous heart and wallet to give me one. Hehehehe. Actually my husband gave me money enough to subscribe for August Elite Box, it's his early Birthday give for me daw since I'll be celebrating my birthday this August 23, but lo and behold it was already SOLD OUT when I visited the website last July 10. :'( I'm so sad.

Anyway, back to our July box, this box aimed each Bellas whose always in a hurry to be prepped and polished in a short amount of time. I've read a lot of un-boxing posts about this box and I've noticed that it has mixed reviews. Some like it and some considered it a so-so. But because I haven't tried most of the products included I'm quite excited and ecstatic to received it.

Here's what inside the box.

Dove Oxygen & Nourishment Shampoo, 180ml (Php 115)
Dove Oxygen & Nourishment Conditioner, 180ml (Php 115)

Good thing these was included in the box because I'm running out of my current Shampoo and Conditioner. I have tried different variants of Dove shampoo, but my all-time favorite is the pink variant because it smells so nice.

FS Lucious Lipstick, 4h (Php 299)

I noticed that the last 3 boxes has FS product in it. I still haven't used the ones that I've got. Thinking of giving it away for Christmas. I might include this. hahaha.

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar, 28g (Php 441 / 127g)

I tried Cetaphil cleansing bar before (it comes as a freebie from cleansing lotion that I bought for my niece) and I find it nice and gentle, so I'm happy to have these included.

Canmake Nail Polish, 3.8g (Php 330)

I prefer if I got a different color. I find it too bright. I like neutral colors the most.

Carmex Tube Lip Balm, 10g (Php 110)
Carmex Click Stick Lip Balm, 4.25g (php 110)

I always have dry and chapped lips so a lip balm is a staple in my kikay kit. I haven't tried this brand so I'm excited to use it.

Celeteque Cleansing Oil, 50 ml (Php 199)

Celeteque is one of the brand that I trust. I got tons of Celeteque products in my kit and I'm pretty satisfied with them. I hope this one delivers too.

V 10 Plus Serum, 2 ml  (Php 4,750 / 30 ml)

This is the first time I saw this product and I'm trying to find reviews about this.

 Benefit They're Reak Mascara, 3 g (Php 1300 / 8.5 ml)

The first time I tried this mascara was just 3 weeks ago, when I used my Free Make-Upper coupon I got from BDJ Box Beauty Boot Camp last June. I loved that it doesn't smudge and didn't turn me into a panda (if you know what I mean), but the curls doesn't stay long.

FREE Makeupper and brow consultation voucher. I got another one. I'll be using this on my birthday. hahaha. :)

There's also the usual Stick It and Share Promo and The Take The BDJ Box #PreppedandPolished Promo. Winner from each promo will win a package from Carmex, V 10 Plis and Dove.
