#PerksOfABella: Sundate at Ace Water Spa

It's been more than a year since hubby and I first visited Ace Water Spa. We've been meaning to visit it again but he's not allowed to take a day-off during weekends or holidays so I invited my sister and my 2 nieces to accompany me instead. Good thing is that I have 2 Buy1-Take1 coupons available in my #perksofabella booklet so we're able to save a whooping 1,100. Not bad, right?

We went there last June 19. It's Father's Day so the place was so crowded. :'( It's so sad that others stay on certain spa / massage area way longer than the recommended time so we have to wait for a long time to use all of them. The only area that I truly enjoyed are the hot pools and the sauna because it's not as crowded as the massage area. After an hour and a half I decided to take a nap and let my companions to roam around and enjoy themselves. 

Since it's still too crowded (more guests arrived after lunch) and we're too hungry to finished the 4 hours allotted time, we decided to leave early. Cameras are not allowed inside the locker / shower and spa area but I still saw some taking their selfies inside the locker area (talk about being pasaway).

So there, even though I didn't enjoy my visit this time as compared to my last visit, I'm still happy because I was able to spend a day with my sister and nieces. So it's still a memorable day for us!

#YhengEats @ Wing Stop ATC

I got the chance to use my BDJ #perksofabella coupon today.  I went to Alabang Town Center this afternoon to unwind and de-stress. :) I walked around, window shopped a little and bought some stationery stuff to use for decorating my journal and planner. Anyway, I decided to eat dinner before heading home. I chose to eat at Wing Stop since it is located just beside Fully Booked (which is my last destination). Fortunately my BDJ Perks of a Bella Booklet is inside my bag. 

I used the Free Onion Rings Coupon.

I find the onion rings and the honey garlic sauce to be a little bit salty but it still tastes good. Good thing I ordered chipotle rice because it balances the taste and lessen the saltiness of the chicken and the onion rings. I wasn't able to finish everything (1 serving of onion rings is good for 1 - 2 person). I asked the server to wrap up my left-overs so I can bring it home (for hubby). :)

So that's it! 1 coupon down, 63 more to go!

BDJ Beauty Social 2015: Global Glam

Hello! BDJ Box Beauty Social 2015 happened at Glorietta 2 last September 13, 2015 and I was there. It was my first time attending a BDJ Beauty Social event so I was excited during the whole time I was there.

I arrived around 11:45, went to the registration booth to get my passport and then leave the venue for a while to eat lunch. I went back around 12:30 to check the booths.

I was alone so I decided to just take a snap chat of the booth and leave. No Selfie for me. hahaha ^^

BDJ Beauty Ministry 

After visiting the Cover Girl's Booth, I decided to just hang around near the talk while waiting for our our turn. By doing so, I got the chance to listen to the Q and A's between the Bellas and the BDJ Beauty Ministry. 

All pre-registered Bellas were given a passport. Each passport has 1 raffle entry, 1 loot bag ticket, Talk Line Up, Booth Checklist, etc.

During pre-registration we were asked to choose 3 talks we want to attend, but only 2 was given to us during the confirmation. I think it's because the seats were limited and there are lots of Bellas who registered.

The first talk that I've attended was "Get the Look of Love with Revlon. The speaker is Mr. Eman de Leon. I first saw him during the BDJ Made to Fly event last April. He talked about the new product of Revlon which is the PhotoReady Eye Art.

He also demonstrated how to apply the eye shadow and how to achieve the Day Look and Night Look using the product. 

After the talk and demo, there's a quick Q and A session, We then lined up to exit the area for the next talk. Before we can exit, we have to surrender the survey form that was given to us. 

Since I also need to attend the next talk, I immediately lined up with the other Bellas who will be attending it. 

Confidence is the New Sexy with Strip and Browhaus by Ms. Miselle Bergonia (Certified Image Consultant) was the next topic. She discussed how to still look at your best given that our weather changes drastically in a short period of time. She gave us Rainy Day Make up tips, Rainy Day Hair Care tips, Rainy Day Skin Care tips, tips on How to Dress up during Rainy Days as well as the different types & advantages and disadvantages of hair removal. 

At the end of her talk, she leave us with the quotes:

"Beauty and transformation can only be achieved when you atart with a beautiful and positive attitude!"

"Beauty is being the best possible version of yourself on the inside and out."

After the talk I lined up to get my loot bag. My favorite. hahahaha. Then I went around to check the booths.

I also visited the The face Shop booth and tried their free Eyebrow Grooming and make over. And the line was so loooooong.

After having my eyebrow makeover at the TFS booth, I visited the next booth which is the Status Salon booth. Experienced another long line of Bellas. I paid 50 for my hair make over. You can choose to either Curl your hair or Blow Drying. (Blow Dry was for free during the Boot Camp :'( ). Anyway I super love the result that I'm thinking of having my hair permed this coming December. hahaha

I wasn't able to check and visit all the booths (sad) because lining up for my makeover took a lot of my time. I decided to leave the area after my makeover and look for something to eat.

All in all I enjoyed spending my day at the event. I also got to meet my bella friends :)

New Sample Haul ♥

I love trying new products, but honestly I'm not keen on shelling our budget for new products that I don't know if will work for me or not. That's why I love joining giveaways and contest hosted by Bloggers or by the brand itself through their social network sites. I also signed up to different sample sites in order to get my hands on to those new products, new samples before they hit the market. 

I got 4 new deliveries these past few days. All of them are sample products that I got from different websites. Here they are.

From EverydayMe. I got 2 full sized Safeguard for Men (400 ml).

From BDJ. Belle De Jour Power Planner partnered with Olay and EverydayMe in giving us bellas these amazing products fro free. I just updated my profile at BDJ Power Planner website and waited for the survey that they sent via my email. I answered the survey and waited for the package to arrive.

From Sample Room. It's been a long time since I last ordered samples from this site. It's either my current points is not enough (I haven't buy VIP points lately) or even if it was enough, the samples I want is OUT OF STOCK. So, when I saw the products available during my last log-in, and saw that I have enough points, I immediately grabbed some samples. 

I got these using my 125 points :)

Post-Event: BDJ Rendezvous- #AWomanWhoMatters

A super late post once again. 

The Last BDJ Rendezvous: A Woman Who Matters happened last August 8 at SM Mega Mall Atrium Lobby. I was at SM Megamall around 9:30 am (the mall opens at 10), because I want to be one of the early birds to receive a gift pack, but sad to say, I was the 5th person to arrive (sad face). We waited for 3 hours for registration to open. 

The event was hosted by Apple David (PBA court side Reporter). The event featured three beautiful and accomplished women who shared their tips and experiences in their respective careers.

PUT YOUR BEST FACE FORWARD by Nikki Duque

She's a professional Makeup Artist and Beauty Blogger though she just started this year. She shared to us the Do's and Dont's in anchieving the Corporate Look. 

DONT's
... do fake lashes in the office.

... fixate on embellishing up your eyebrows. 

... fake-bake or test-drive any complexion changing beauty products on weekdays. 

... do frosted or glittery lip thing / shimmery eye shadow.

DO's.. 

... find a look that enhances your natural beauty.

She also shared to us the 5 Ground Rules to Corporate Look. 

1. It has to stand the test of time.

2. It has to be low-maintenance and easy enough for you to be able to complete in a rush

3. it should enhance and not hide who you are.

She also shared tips on using, applying and choosing different makeups and she recommended some brands good makeup brands.

She's very young, energetic and vibrant entrepreneur and a part owner of The Girl and The Bull Restaurant and 12/10 Bar.

This topic's the main reason why I attended this event. I'm managing my online shop for 5 years now, and I'm dreaming and hoping to put up a physical shop in the future. So I wanted to know what she did in order to be in her place right now. 

Her Tips. 

1. If you want to start something you have to really give your all.

2. Hard work is really a part of it.

3. Don't lose yourself in the process of your hard work. 

4. Don't forget to have fun.

5. Maintan good relationship with your staff / team.

6. Always have a mindset of a beginner so it's okay to make mistakes.

7. Always think that there's always something to improve.

8. Always say Thank You and always be humble and grounded.

GUIDE TO YOUR FITNESS TRANSFORMATION by Melissa Gohing

She's a blogger (Perspire to Inspire) and a volleyball player / athlete. She talked about the importance of exercise and what exercise we should try. Honestly, exercising is the one I'm not keen to do. I tried running / walking early in the morning before, but I only lasted for 1 week. I'm so lazy to do it. 

She recommended some exercise to try.

CROSSFIT - strenth and resistance training

PILATES - carve the core

SPIN CLASS - Ride and burn calories

KICK BOXING - Ride and Burn Calories.

Aside from these talks, there's also the raffle, the games, the food and the loot bag.

I wasn't able to take pictures with the speakers and the host because I have a headache the whole time and I struggled to keep up.
