DIY: Home Facial Treatment

Howdy! 

I've accumulated lots of beauty products, skin care products and the likes from all the sampling sites, my beauty box subscriptions and events that I've attended. And since I got tons of products to try, I've decided to use some of it last Saturday night. I got the inspiration to this, after reading the blog post here. So here's my version of DIY Weekend facial.

WHAT I USED: 

1. Pond's Gold Radiance Revealed Facial Foam
2. Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub

3. iWhite Whitening Pack
4. Celeteque Acne Solution Toner

5. The Face Shop Real Nature Mask (Shea Butter)

6. Himala Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream

7. Wash Cloth and Warm Water

WHAT I DID

Step 1: Cleanse

* I washed my face with lukewarm water, then I applied the Pond's Gold Radiance Revealed Facial Foam (got this from one of the many BDJ events I've attended) and massaged it for a minute into my face and neck in a circular motion. 

* I rinsed it off using warm wash cloth. 

Note: If you're wearing make-up, don't forget to remove it first using your favorite make-up remover. But since I'm make-up free, I skipped this procedure.

Step 2: Exfoliate

* After drying off my face, I applied Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub (got this from my BDJ Box subscription) and gently massaged it in a circular motion. 

* I rinsed it off using warm water.  

Step 3: Steam

* I dipped wash cloth in a warm water and pressed it to my face about 2 - 3 times. Steaming your face will allow your skin to absorbs any product that you will apply after.

Step 4: Facial Mask ver.1

*I used  iWhite Whitening Pack (I bought this from 7-11) to further remove dead skin especially my black heads around the nose area. You can skip this process if you don't like.

* I peeled of the mask after 15 minutes, and then rinse my face properly.

Step 5: Tone

* I used Celeteque Acne Solution Toner (got this as a prize from BDJ x Celetque Promo) to remove all the remaining (if there is) dirt. and cleanser residues. (I took a quick shower after removing the mask, hence the wet hair).

Step 6: Facial Mask ver. 2

* Aside from the iWhite Whitening pack that I've used I decided to use another mask. This time it's the mask from the The Face Shop (I got this during the BDJ Global Glam event). The mask is too big for my face.
* I removed it after 12 minutes. I massaged the excess liquid from the mask into my face until it was fully absorbed into my skin.

Step 7: Moisturize

* For the final touch, I applied moisturizer. I used the Himala Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream which I got from Sample Room. I love the scent of this cream.. :)

My face becomes visibly cleaner and fresher after my DIY facial treatment. You too can do this at home using your own beauty / skin care products. You'll save a lot of money doing this. :)

Unboxing: June BDJ Box - Bioderma

Hello Guys! It's BDJ Box un-boxing time once again! But truth be told I'm not that excited to open this box. Why? Because I saw some posts saying that the contents are all in sample size and that took the excitement away :'(

Let's start unboxing. Unlike the 4 previous boxes (January - May Box), June BDJ box is a bit smaller. It's because everything is in smaller container and it'll be a waste to use the big box that we're used to. 

Bioderma collaborated with BDJ for this month's box.

BIODERMA's approach involves reactivating the skin's natural resources to help it resist and recover its normal functions, which are those found in healthy skin. Here's what inside the box. 

Sensibio Tonique  (10ml; approx P 66.32) Actual value: P 1,658 / 250ml 

The soothing active ingredients calm and decongest the epidermis, while the moisturizing agents improve comfort. The patented natural D.A.F. complex raises the skin's tolerance threshold. Pure, light and transparent, it leaves the skin soothed and hydrated, and ready for the application of a skin care cream.

Sensibio Eye Contour Gel (2 ml; approx P 166.40) Actual value: P 1,248 / 15 ml

Restore the youthful brightness of your sensitive eye area with this gel. Th lightweight hydrating gel works to decongest this most delicate area of our skin reducing puffiness and smoothing lines with its rigorously selective active ingredients. 

Sebium Hydra (5 ml; approx P 133.5) Actual value: P 1,068 / 30 ml

All skin types, including oily must be moisturized since they can temporarily become dry or irritated. This is especially formulated to compensate for such temporary imbalanc eby rehydtating and restoring the skin's protective layer. The moisturizing and restructing active ingedients fight against peeling and the sensation of tightness while powerful soothing active agents alleviate redness and calm the skin.

Sebium AKN (5 ml, approx P 173.00) Actual Value: P 1,038 / 30ml

This non-comedogenic treatment cleanses the pores in depth while slowing the overproduction of sebum. It also smoothes the skin's texture over time, ensuring that it looks clear and more uniform. Soothing ingredients reduce irritaion and diminish the appearance of redness, and hydrating agents to make sure the skin is comfortable and soft. The light texture is rapidly absorbed and makes a great make-up base.

Sebium Pore Refiner (5 ml; approx P 244.00) Actual Value: P 1,468 / 30 ml)

This targeted daily treatment works to tighten pores that are dilated, prevent imperfections, and mattify the skin both immediately and over the long term, thanks to the astringent and pore minimizer property of Fomes Offiinalis (mushroom extract). Antioxidants boost the skin's radiance and protect it from external aggressors, The lightweight, fluid formula melts into skin instantly, and creates an excellent base for make-up application.

Atoderm Intensive (8 ml ; approx P 56.72) Actual Value: P 1,418 / 200ml

When skin is atopic and dry, it can be extremely irritable, itchy and uncomfortable. The Intensive Soothing Emollient Care is created with Bioderma's exclusive Skin Barrier Theraphy complex, which restores the integrity of the skin barrier, prevents the penetration of allergens and enhances suppleness and comfort. Added Zinc and Betasitosterol provide intense anti-inflammatory care and helps to stop the itch.

Atoderm Cream (8ml, approx P63.92) Actual Value: P 1,598 / 200 ml)

When skin is chronically dry, you need a care product that will not only relieve, but also improve the problem. The Atoderm cream moistens the skin with anti-dehydrating agents, which hold water in the upper layers of the skin and stops it from evaporating. It cares for the skin of babies to adults, and can be used on both the face and the body fro renewed softness. 

Photoderm Max (5 ml; approx P 168.5) Actual Value: P1,348 / 40ml)

With maximum anti-UVB and extreme anti-UVA performance, it guaranatees optimum protection against sunburn, sun intolerance and premature ageing. Exclusive patented Cellular BIOprotection complex effectively shields the skin against risks of cell damage. The melting texture feels very comfortable on the complexion and is perfectly colourless when applied, leaving no trace of white marks or a greasy film. 

The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain (8ml, P 795)

This dual-purpose stain from the Body Shop gives your lips and cheeks a healthy-looking glow with one wash of color or builds up for a richer, deeper coverage. Used alone, it's a sheer stain, but can also be used as a great base for lip and even cheek products for a longer lating flush. Its moisturizing formulation helps to condition the skin with Vitamin E.

This month's box value including the lip and cheek tint is approximately P1,867.36 (my computation for Bioderma's product is based on actual sample's size received). I didn't include the 200 discount voucher in the computation.

I thought I'll be disappointed with this box contents given that this is all sample size (except for the lip tint). But contrary to that, I find this box okay. Yes, it's all sample size and the TBS cheek and lip tint is always on sale (P 495) in their store, but having to try BIODERMA products that is relatively new (and quite expensive) in the country is really a good opportunity to check if this really fits my skin. Aside from that it's all handy and does not occupy too much space. The only thing that I don't like in this box are the samples that is not in resealable packaging (Sensibio Tonique and Sensibio Eye). If only it's in resealable tube just like the other it won't be wasteful. And BDJ box should have stick to Bioderma products and not include the TBS product and Voucher but instead replaced it with at least 1 full size Bioderma product.

Unboxing April 2015 BDJ Box: Spring into Beauty

BDJ Box has once again provided us a box filled with products (full size and sample size) that will definitely help all the Bellas out there to bloom like a beautiful flower. You wanna pamper yourself? Then April BDJ Box is just perfect for you. :)

Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub - this is my first time seeing the scrub. I would like to give this product a try.

Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub - I always check this whenever I go to SM Department Store or Watsons. I didn't know that it is also available in sachet.  I already used 1 sachet of this (the night I received the box) and I love the result. :) I will keep on using this and buy a bigger size once I go to SM.

Revlon Highlighting Palette - I love that this box has make up on it, since the first 2 box has been more on  skin care and hair care thing. The problem is I don't know how to use it. I need to check Youtube videos for more make up tutorial. hehehe.

Revlon Highlighting Palette (001 Peach Glow), 7.5g (PHP 625)

FS Cosmetics Lash Extravagance Mascara - I have tried FS mascara before (year 2012) and I didn't like it that much so I'm a bit skeptical to use this one. But since it's already included in the box, I'll give this product a try. I just hope this product won't disappoint me. :)

I'll keep the Mustela Stretch Marks Double Action for myself since I do have stretch mark on my belly / stomach area and then I'll give the Hair and Body Wash plus the Hydra Bebe Body Lotion to my nephew's new born baby.
