#YhengCooks "Adobong Isaw ng Baboy"

Adobo is one of my favorite dish. I always make sure to cook this dish once or twice a month. But I don't use the same main ingredients over and over again. I sometimes uses pork, chicken, chicken feet, fish (tuna, tilapia, bangus) or vegetables or anything that can be cooked as adobo. Today I cookes another favorite adobo variation of  mine, -  Adobong Isaw ng Baboy.

I want to share to you my recipe just in case you want to try cooking it at home.

Ingredients:

1/2 Isaw ng Baboy (pig's small intestine).
1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 tablespoon rocksalt
3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tablespoon ginger
1 pc. small onion
4 + 1/8 cups of water
1 tablespoon cooking oil
bay leaves
1 green chili
pepper corn
ground black pepper

Procedure.

1. Make sure to clean the pig's intestine very well. What I usually do is to insert a portion of the spout of the faucet inside the small intestine's opening and then turn on the faucet and let the water travels the inside of the intestine. I do it until the water runs clear (or no longer yellowish). Then I rub the intestines with rock salt (a bit harder) and then wash it with running water. I do it twice.

2. Pour 4 cups of water in a pot and let it boil. Once it boils, put 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon rock salt, black pepper corns and bay leaves. Put in the Small intestines and then cover. Let it cooked for 30 - 45 minutes.

3. Once it's cooked, set aside and let it cool until you can handle it. Cut it into 1 1/2 inches. Set aside.

4. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil, saute ginger, onion and garlic. Put in the small intestine. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce. Cover it and let it cook for a minute or two.

5. Add in the vinegar, and 1/8 cup of water. Cover and let it simmer for another 2 minutes or until the vinegar is cooked..

6. Adjust seasoning according to your taste and put in the chopped green chilis.

7. Serve and enjoy.

Until here.
See you soon folks!

Collective Haul for the Month of December

Here I go again! I didn't know that planning and planner designing is super addicting. I can't contain myself from buying cute stationery stuff such as pens, stickers, stamps and washis. I'm heading to #BrokeKingdom already. hahaha.

I also can't help myself but to share my current haulssssss (with a lot of ss) for this month. hahaha

My Divi Haul. Went to Divisoria last December 5 to buy gifts for my inaanaks, families and friends. I also got myself some Sticky notes, paper tapes, pens and stamps for my planner designing.

Stickers from Kraftrina. I ordered these last December 2, and received it last December 10. The paper quality is nice and it is easy to peel off the stickers (no tearing whatsoever) plus each designs is very well made. There are other designs that I wanted to buy especially those designs that was released recently but I need to save up for my Baguio trip next year. :)

Kraft Stickers from Papemelroti. Got these for Php 7 each last December 7 before watching The Good Dinosaur with my husband at SM DasmariƱas. The one with the cat design is so cute but I'm more of a dog person so I looked for a dog design but unfortunately there is none.

SM Stationery haul. While waiting for my client last Thursday I went around Stationery Corner at SM Department Store. I found this Mesh Wire organizer and Baoke Fountain Pen.

I put the organizer inside my craft table drawer and luckily it fits. I put some of my washi tapes (the ones I frequently used) for easy access.

Got the stickers from the The Paper Stone (SM North) and the stamp pads at Landmark (Trinoma).

These are the reason why I'm broke right now. There are a lot of things I still want to buy like clear stamps. But since they're a bit pricey and mostly available abroad, I have to save first so that I can maximize the shipping fee.

Well, that's it for now. Anyeong :)

Until here.
See you soon folks!

BDJ@10: #ShareTheSpark

Yehey!!!! The much awaited BDJ Fair 2015 happened few days back and it was full of fun and happenings. It was actually my first BDJ Fair so I was excited the whole time as I wander the area and visited every booth.

I was at the venue around 8 in the morning (excited much!). I had my breakfast there while watching the BDJ team and their brand partners set up their respective booths. The registration for the Scavenger Hunt participants started past 9 am. We were given 1 Sharpie marker each then we were ushered to the stage area for the orientation. We were grouped into 8 teams then given an index card with the list of booths to visit for the missions.

Unfortunately our group didn't win but we still enjoyed every mission. We were given a set of Schema notebooks and a sharpie marker as consolation prize. Awesome! I was planning to buy schema notebooks and then I got it for free. Yehey!

After the Scavenger hunt, I lined up at the BDJ Lounge to claim my free Lancome sample. Then I started booth hopping. I was alone during the whole time because I lost my companion. hahaha.

Here are some of the booths that I've visited. :)

After roaming around, I left the area to have my lunch since I'm super hungry na. Then I went to Starbucks to charge my phone (I don't have power bank that's why I brought my charger with me). I stayed there until 3:15, then went back to the venue for my scheduled talk at 3:25pm.

After the talk, I saw Liriel personalizing her Schema notebooks so I decided to do mine to while waiting for my 5:00 talk schedule. We were provided with pencils and sharpie markers to use. You can do your own design or use the pre-made patterns provided at the booth. Since I'm not artistic, I used the pre-made designs and traced it on my schema notebooks.

I forgot to take a photo of my schema notebook at the booth so I went back before heading home.  I wasn't able to put colors in it because Liriel and I decided to try the Palmistry booth. :)

Another talk that I've attended is the one facilitated by Ms. Mica Tan.

I roamed around some more, then decided to head home since it's getting late. All in all I enjoyed my first ever BDJ fair. Can't wait to attend another one next year. :)

BDJ Fair is not complete without freebies. Here's what I've got.
